LIMITED WARRANTY (10 YEARS)

Maximum Shutter Systems warrants that the shutter system we install or provide wholesale, along with each of its components, will be free from defects in material and workmanship. At our sole discretion, we will repair or replace any defect not covered under the "Excluded Causes" outlined below, in accordance with Table 1.

If a defect occurs that is not caused by an excluded cause as defined herein, and the warranty holder is not in default on any obligation to Maximum Shutter Systems, we will honor the warranty as specified in Table 1, starting from the date of installation or order completion. Any applicable charges will be based on our current price list. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Scaffolding and Special Equipment

For the first year following the original installation completion, Maximum Shutter Systems will cover 100% of scaffolding and special equipment charges. After this period, in addition to labor costs, the customer will be responsible for hard costs related to transportation, setup, and rental of any necessary high-reach equipment, including but not limited to:

• Ladder jacks

• Pipe scaffolding

• Swing stages

• Cherry pickers

• Bosun chairs

• Any other special equipment deemed necessary by Maximum Shutter Systems

Maintenance Requirement

Hurricane shutters, like other outdoor permanent fixtures, require regular cleaning and maintenance to remain in optimal working condition. Annual maintenance by Maximum Shutter Systems is recommended, along with regular cleaning to keep shutters free from debris. Failure to perform regular maintenance may result in voiding this warranty, as outlined in Section 5 of the provisions below.

Excluded Causes

This warranty does not cover damage, failure, or defects caused by:

• Acts of God (hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, floods, lightning, earthquakes)

• Building settlement or structural movement

• Accidental or intentional damage

• Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or the use of non-Maximum parts

• Mishandling or unreasonable use

• Failure to perform necessary maintenance

Additionally, the following conditions shall not be considered defects covered under this limited warranty:

1. Normal weathering of any painted surface

2. Water seepage through the closed shutter system during strong wind and rain

3. Misalignment of multiple shutters operated in tandem from a single control when raised and lowered

4. Light penetration through vented shutter punches

5. Negligence through misuse or failure to maintain the shutters in normal, operable condition

6. Any work performed by others or the addition of unauthorized parts will void this warranty

Disclaimer of Additional Warranties

Except as outlined in this limited warranty, Maximum Shutter Systems makes no additional warranties. Any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose will expire on the first anniversary of the installation date. Maximum Shutter Systems is not liable for any consequential or incidental damages arising from any breach of this warranty.

Important Notice: All products supplied, distributed, or installed by Maximum Shutters Systems, Inc. or HurricaneShutters.com that are not directly manufactured by us (e.g., windows, doors, fencing, components, etc.) are covered only by the specific manufacturer’s warranty. These products are not included under our warranty.
